Abstract

This paper presents the evaluation of a proposal for the creation and implementation of an intervention method on students’ conceptualization of written language. It rests on the integration of concept maps and texts created by fourth grade Elementary School students in an online news production network. The analysis of the textual development is carried out based on the triangulation of data concerning levels of development of linear writing, as well as topological and semantic taxonomies for concept maps. The results indicate a reciprocal development with regard to the conceptualization of linear writing and the construction of concept maps, favoring consciousness-raising in the process of revising texts, in order to improve semantic and structural aspects of written language.
