Abstract

This piece of research has been accomplished in Higher education, in particular with students of 3 rd Grade in Early years School Teacher Training Degree Course. It was found that concept mapping supports the identification of the essential concepts of the subject, establishing levels of hierarchy among these concepts and relationships among them. Significant differences have been found in these respects. During one semester, every student has made concept maps of the themes covered bay the subject. These were reviewed in group and improved with input from others. It was used a control group at the end of the evaluation period.
